Are fruits good or bad for diabetes?
In
short there are two main types of Diabetes: Type 1 and Type 2. The main difference is in type 1, the pancreas does not make insulin.
In type 2, the pancreas makes less insulin than used to, and your body becomes resistant to insulin.
There
is no known reason why diabetes type 1 or type 2 onsets. It is believed at this point in medical history that Type 1 diabetes is caused by an autoimmune reaction (the body attacks itself by mistake). This reaction destroys the cells in the pancreas that make insulin, called beta cells. This process can go on for months or years before any symptoms appear.
In Type 2 it was believed that a low level of
physical activity, poor diet, family history and being over 55 years of age were the main factors.. However that is the answer to every ailment in modern medicine. Therefore science is still searching for answers as to why so many people are onsetting with type 2 diabetes.
We are all different and there is surprisingly little known about Diabetes and why some people get it and
some don’t. But research is indicating that the microbiome (as always) plays a major role. So like everything doing your best, being measured and moderate with your body is never a bad idea.
