During the election campaign I felt bombarded with slogans from all colors of the rainbow.
It made me take pause about the state of our communications in these times. All of it is divisive and most of it is mud slinging from one group to another or the sensationalism of minor issues as a distraction. I started wondering who pays for all this negative advertisement and so I did some research.
Political candidates in Australia received political donations in the millions this year. Clive Palmer has spent more than $31 million since August and he is a horse with gigantic odds against ever holding office. So think about how much the major parties spent.
Donations from corporations, which go towards the funding of the parties' election advertising campaigns along with affiliation fees from trade unions amounted to so much money that I was thinking about starting my own political party whose sole mission would be to obtain campaign funding and use
the money to run add campaigns about health and wellbeing. Reminding people about more natural and holistic health choices and the importance of reducing toxicity and the exposure to it.
Sadly, I can’t do that, but it is fun to think about. It gives me a small respite to fantasize about being able to affect major change in the actions, words and beliefs of people concerning health issues.
But in reality we can only be an example, a beacon of hope, by living our truth and maybe if we are lucky enough and our example is good enough, we can reach others during our lifetime. Hopefully inspiring them to become a better version of themselves.
Since we are talking about inspiration we really appreciate our customers who spread good news about our practice to others. The amount of direct referrals we get is amazing. People telling stories
about their own experiences that inspire others on their health journey. I bet the political parties wish they could get advertisement like that!
Our clinic and our newsletter audience keeps growing and our slow and steady goals seem to be winning the race. Looking back over Covid we are very proud of the amount of people we have helped and how many new followers we have with our newsletter. So thanks to you all.
Slow and steady progress has been the focus of our discussion this month. We can't rush health, but we certainly can build on it. The importance of building your microbiome with diet changes and the regular support of good probiotics is essential. Something you can read more about in our Library.
And to some good news:
We are proud to announce our long awaited YouTube Channel. We have had requests for about 5 years but didn’t have the resources or time to get on with it. But now we do.
More slow and steady progress.
It will be a place where we can release new information and help build awareness on a regular basis about health! Sadly we won’t qualify for any Campaign funding but with a slow and steady approach, we should be fine.
You can help others to find the information by going there yourself and liking our videos and subscribing to our channel.
Thanks again for reading our newsletter and sending email comments about the content, it is such a rewarding experience to be acknowledged for our work.
See you next month
